Rapid Response Team (RRT)

Formed in 2005, the Rapid Response Team (RRTO) is the newest specialty unit of the SBPD. Originally known as the Civil Unrest Team CUT), the unit is comprised currently of 20 members.

The Rapid Response Team is to be utilized in the response to acts of civil unrest and situations where events involving large crowds or gatherings resulting in unlawful acts being committed, or where unrest threatens public safety and damage to private and/or government property.

The RRT provides an organized and professional response with the goal of establishing and maintaining order for the safety of citizens and emergency response personnel.
