STARTED :: THE APPLICATION The
South Bend Police Department has made it easy for you to get started in the hiring
process by enabling you to download the application online. This can then be dropped
off to the Training Bureau at the police station or may be mailed in, along with
other required paperwork. Eligible
candidates are invited to submit an application. The South Bend Police Department

on our SBPD Cadet Program You must also submit the following
documentation along with the application for consideration in the employment process.
Failure to include this information WILL result in a delay, or dismissal of your
application from the process:

School diploma/GED diploma certificate
- Transcripts
from both high school AND college (if applicable)
- Copy
of Birth Certificate
- Valid
Driver's License
- DD214
(Armed Forces Discharge) if applicable
